She wore it when she hosted and performed at the 2016 East Coast Music awards along with my foundation and blush,” Amanda shares. “Also, recently I teamed up with comedians Tracy and Martina. We created a makeup collection where a portion of the proceeds go towards a maritime charity called Christmas Daddies, which helps the less fortunate at Christmas time with presents, food and clothing.”

Making homemade mineral makeup in small batches is not easy, especially if you choose to use natural preservatives, but the extra effort is worth the cost, according to Amanda; “My preservatives are all natural, both food and cosmetic grade and are still effective. Instead of silicone, I hand-press each eyeshadow with nourishing jojoba oil and coconut oil. I want to show people that you can have a beautiful, long wearing product that truly is healthy for your skin.”
