I wear my hair up every single day. Always. These have less pressure/soreness than claw clips, less breakage and more control than bands, and utility-wise, they offer more style options than both. And I prefer them to sticks because they're more comfortable. They retain their form and usability far longer than any other hair utensil I've used. I love them and I bought more colours and sizes because I keep losing them. – Janet B, 26
They held for the most part. I prefer a neat bun, which was not possible for the two pins to sustain. My hair in a bun is quite thick, and I tried to catch some scalp hair to keep it from slipping out, but some of the ends came out anyway, and got in my face, which is annoying when you are trying to run a cash register. I had to redo it after an hour, and again, after a couple of hours, when I did my hair in a figure-eight type bun, with the top coil flipped to make my bun look like an 8, with each loop getting a pin screwed in horizontal to try to catch scalp hair and hold it better. That held for the remaining four hours of my shift. Hope this helps. – Thiara L, 23

Love these things! I have long thick hair that I mostly keep up and these pins keep them up all day. I have purchased them several times as I keep forgetting where I put them. – Gemma Z, 19
These spin pins are great for buns. I have fine hair but a LOT of it. Normally it takes a good 10 bobby pins to hold my buns in place. I am super impressed that 2 regular spin pins placed through my bun, and stays put all day. I love how they twist in, my bun feels very secure. A must for gals that like to put their hair into buns. – Laurel T, 42
Meh. That's the one word I would use to describe these pins. I think they work better if you have fine, thin hair that's not too long. My hair is fine but abundant and long and they do not keep the bun in place. I'm not a fan of the messy bun look which is what I end up getting. –Lolita G, 22
These are great!! I watched a couple of YouTube tutorials on how to wear them and now I will never be without them. You will wonder how you ever lived without them but they are something that requires practice. – Marcia M, 27
I like these better than any other hair-restraining device (competition includes Ouchless elastics, ugly Scrunchies, and bobby pins) but as many others with thick hair have lamented, these leave much to be desired. I would just caution against believing that they will hold very thick hair in an immaculate bun. Adjusting your expectations (as well as investing in a set of mini pins after receiving the full-sized pins) is key. – Joy K, 28
Pros: No damage, no headaches, if I leave my hair up with these it will be silky soft and frizz-free when I take it down at the end of the day, keeps hair tangle-free, looks more sophisticated than using an elastic, still a million times better than bobby pins, virtually indestructible, unlike hair ties Cons: Hair slips out, if you have to use more than the two standard pins you run the risk of interlocking the pins and getting them stuck in your hair, not really well suited to finer-textured thick hair. – Katherine R, 20
GOODY is right! If you like to do some up-dos, then you NEED these pins. Talk about a quick and easy do!! Say goodbye to your old bottom-of-your-makeup-bag hairpins. These things are the DEAL. –Julie R, 39
I have two packs of them and with a thick, glossy mane of hair like mine (okay fine it's sort of thick and only long because I'm too lazy to get it cut), I usually use a small handful to tame my mane but it get's the job done and it actually does take 3 easy steps to get a nice bun. Get the minis if you have thinner hair!! I use those sometimes and my daughter too. – Sue S, 41
