We hosted a short survey on Twitter and while 30% acknowledged to never hearing about the Spin Pin, another 25% admitted that they’ve heard of it but never used it. That’s a shame because the spin pin is one of the BEST hair hack tools I have. They’re a fabulous invention and I would recommend them to any girl that wants to create fun and simple up-dos, no matter how long or short your hair is (as long as your hair can twist into a bun, you’ll be fine!).
The Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin is a compact six-layer coil design with the hold of 20 bobby pins. It’s smaller than a lipstick it fits perfectly into make up bags. The flexible tension spiral moves smoothly through all hair types. You’d be amazed and just what two spin pins can do!
Here are three easy steps to accomplishing a sleek, chic bun:
1 – Pull your hair up into a pony tail (no hair band needed!), twist, and wrap the pony tail around itself.
2 – Take the first Spin Pin and spin it into hair from the front of the bun.
3 – Take the other Spin Pin and spin it into hair from the back of the bun.
It’s easy peasy! Once you get the hang of these basic three steps, you can adapt this method to many different types of buns and incorporate braids, twists and accessories. But if you’re more of a visual learner, here’s a quick tutorial from YouTuber Jen4PrettyThings. She shows you how to use Spin Pins to achieve her three on-the-go, easy hair styles.
