Hello Babes, it’s Music Monday! This week’s playlist is called Canadian, eh. In addition to Justin Bieber and Drake, there are so many other talented Canadian artists to discover. BabeBox is proudly Canadian and would like to share this playlist that showcases some Canadian talent:

Whether it’s music or fashion, Young Empires love to stand out! They recently rocked the 2016 Wayhome Music Festival and have been touring the country. The band was formed in Toronto and currently consists of three members: vocalist and keyboardist, Matthew Vlahovich, bassist, Jacob Palahnuk and drummer, Taylor Hill. Their sound has been described as a blend of alternative dance, electro, and indie rock.
The band has had a ton of mainstream success, especially on Canadian radio. You may have heard their songs "The Gates", "Sunshine" and "White Doves" on Toronto’s top Indie/Rock stations 102.1 The Edge and Indie 88. Their song "Rain of Gold" was also one of the featured songs in the FIFA 13 soundtrack. The band was also a nominee in the Breakthrough Group of the Year category for the 2016 Juno Awards. These guys have been working hard to grow their fan base and produce great new music. I attended their Toronto show at the MOD club this year and can honestly say they know how to put on a good show. Their songs are so upbeat, which makes them the perfect band to brighten your day!
