Move over ombré! There's a new trend in town. Colour melting is a new hair technique that blends the highlights with the base colour of your hair.
I like this technique because unlike the bold transition in colour that the ombré style brings, colour melting gives the hair a more natural blending effect.
George Papanikolas, Matrix StyleLink stylist says "the difference between this and regular highlights is that you use multiple shades to create the 'melted' effect."
The soft edges are sharpened and there's no clear indication of where one colour begins or ends.
If you're thinking about dying your hair multiple colours, this hair trend is worth a try!
