When I got my first credit card, I was obsessed with eBay. If I couldn’t sleep, I’m shopping on eBay. Taking a long bus ride downtown, I’m shopping on eBay. Watching TV and a commercial comes on, I’m shopping on eBay. But, as we all know, shopping on eBay comes with challenges as well. Once I brought a super-cute orange and white polka dotted dress of eBay and did everything an online shopper would do – look at model photos, reviews from customers and read the given measurements. To my dismay, I received a child’s dress in the mail. Still totally adorable but there was no way it was going to ever fit me.
Anyway, back to this gorgeous white and gold 5 piece set from Kabuki (what a fun name, right?). I paid $12 for the set so I was pleasantly surprised that these brushes actually had great quality. They are synthetic which means they wash up well and they’re extremely soft. I would use these brushes for applying foundation (the rounded brush is similar in shape to the Real Techniques Buffing Brush), cream bronzer, cream blush and highlighting (the pointed one is great for this job!).
Unfortunately, I had a tiny problem with them but if you’re handy with a glue gun you can make these brushes work even better than they were originally. I had two of the handles detach from the brush, one actually came already broken when I opened the package. I fixed them once and never had an issue with them again. Overall, I great find! Plus, they’re soooo darn cute.
